December is a busy month—school events, holiday parties, family visits, tournaments, travel… it adds up fast. And most young athletes slow down this time of year. But not you. You’re staying consistent while others take a break, and that work is going to SHOW in the second half of the season. Sneak in a quick session on a holiday morning, do a mindset exercise in the car, or practice stickhandling while hanging with family. December is the perfect time to pull out your goals and remind yourself why you’re putting in the work. Here’s what’s happening inside Blais Performance this month 👇 1️⃣ In-Season Training This month we’re building strength, speed, power, and reactivity. 👉 Goal: 1–2 sessions per week. Before school, after school, or on a slower weekend. If hockey slows down over Christmas, get an extra session in, hit the ODR, or get some shots up. Game-Day Training: Use our game-day session in the morning of a game or between tournament games to get your legs, hands, and focus ready for puck drop. Don’t forget to tag us when you train! 2️⃣ Nutrition: Holiday Edition 🍪 Join Coach Dave and Max in the kitchen for a simple, healthy no-bake holiday cookie you can use for real pre-game energy. Kid-friendly, quick, and perfect for busy tournament weekends. 3️⃣ Mindset Training – Handling Adversity Adversity doesn’t make you weaker — it makes you stronger and smarter.
